How the Lock-down affects social life and trade?

                                  Lockdown Crisis: Social, Political, Economic
                                                                                   -Adeetya Jain
The world has encountered with innumerable number of circumstances. These ‘circumstances’ can also be referred to as complex problems. Now the central reason I, term these circumstances as a complex problem is as we can notice a pattern which tells us that one problem leads us to another. I describe corona virus as a complex problem or a strangled circumstance waiting to be undone.
As I mentioned earlier that this virus is a complex problem; I stated so as to make all of you understand that it can hamper the stability between the socio-economic and political culture of the world. For example a financial problem can lead to trauma which in turn is a social problem. This financial problem might have occurred due to the lockdown which was a political decision made by the government. So indirectly, a political decision can hamper the social environment of a place. COVID-19 or more commonly known as corona virus started in a small territory of China known as Wuhan. No one had the smallest of the idea that this might spread not only in China but the whole world and forcing WHO to announce it as a global pandemic. This is a national emergency in U.S.A. There is total lockdown in most countries in the world which in my opinion is one of the most considerable measures taken by all governments till now. People might be facing many problems in the lockdown but mark my words this will at least help us in slowing down the number of cases. Famous doctors and statistic managers are stating that the no. of cases in India alone will rise up to 300-400 million people by July. Frankly writing the previous statement was like picking up 100kg weights but we have to accept this fact. Some say that this virus might only touch the immune system and not be much fatal.
Economical status of the country due to lockdown:
The economic stature of the country has changed drastically over the period and will continue to change. I can support this statement by stating that many companies have been shut down due to the massive lockdown in so many countries. The consumption rate in the market is at its peak and the demand ever growing. At the contrary there is hardly any supply of goods possible due to the shut down which leads us to the dismal conclusion that the price of goods will be at its highest. This creates a reason to worry for the people below the pyramid. We can say that this is a good period for the people who own companies of food items, sanitizers, ventilators, organized pharma or medicine etc as they are allowed to run their offices as they come under a section of essential commodities. They continue to increase their sales rapidly and have regular shipments involved. But many minor companies continue to show large losses on their balance sheet. They have no staff ready to work, it is compulsory to give them salary. The government has given some relief by postponing EMI, GST and profit tax by 3 months. The R.B.I is also facing many problems as there is no national revenue incurring. The world sensex is being hit on a global scale. The people who have a monthly salary are at a good position right now but a person who depends on daily wages like plumbers; carpenters etc. are facing a major crisis. Concluding up, there is an economic strain on the society today and must recover soon.
Social impact on the society:
Corona Virus or COVID-19 has impacted the social life of people by a large amount. Declaring a strict lockdown in the country was the only wise option for the time being until any other idea pops out. This disease spreads through human contact. You will not realize also that when this will stick on something and you carry it and eventually transfer via a cough or sneeze. Human contact is most common in social gathering thus evolved the idea of ‘social-distancing’ meaning to not meet anyone and stay in isolation. This is a respiratory disease and its symptoms are: sore throat, dry cough, shortness of breath and continuous sneezing. People at home are finding ways to entertain themselves by the regular Netflix or board games. This is the time to spend time with your families and figure fun things to or chores to do. Some are weaving or cooking while some are mopping and painting. Sitting at home we should be thankful to god that we are cozy and safe and pray for the people who are risking their lives and doing their duty for us. Schools have started taking online classes which I feel is a great initiative taken by the school which prevents a massive gap of education. If not, I encourage parents to enroll their kids on online courses. Parents should introduce their kids to new things like learning language and take a break from regular studies. This is the perfect setting for being active and helping your mother with daily chores and make breakfast for your parents. This is the time to get creative and rise up from your mundane schedules.
The spiritual outlook of COVID-19:
I recently read an article written by Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and he explained how this virus was not a devastating thing but a natural reminder send by Mother Earth that we are misusing our resources and nature and this will be an outcome if we continue to hamper with it. This should be taken positively and we should thank the almighty that due to his omnipresence in every form, we are able to understand the value of nature. The god sends us a clear message that strict actions will take place if you hinder with the law of nature. This virus should not be considered as a shock but an ever ringing warning. The almighty has made us realize the importance of each other. We criticize each other when we are close and do not value each other. Now that we are far away from each other, every minute we think about each other. It is said “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”.
